Concept & Theme

The success of any public infrastructure project like metro, transit services, parks etc depends on how much affinity and ownership is there within the people who use it.

Mumbai Metro One has completed more than 7 years and with this ongoing global pandemic it’s imperative for us to take initiatives that help create a sense of ownership and affinity towards metro in the minds of people, and studies suggest that being part of something while its being created, creates a special sense of belonging and ownership towards it.

The theme for Majhi Metro 2021 is well thought of and it will give Mumbaikars an opportunity to be a part of making their own Mumbai Metro stations more colourful, vibrant & with fresh perspective through this festival as a shield to combat the difficult times like this pandemic which will help keep the negativity at the bay and celebrate the life with optimism. So this Majhi Metro, let’s “Rang de Metro”

Rang de Metro

Majhi Metro 2021 offers a massive & huge opportunity to make the metro stations your canvas with 20,000 sqft of walls visible to more than 4.5 lakh commuters daily.

Rang de Metro is all about the artist’s interpretation of topics that can resonate with every Mumbaikar on topics like what Mumbai means (spirit of Mumbai, Bollywood, colours of Mumbai), 75th Independence day - Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, humans & environment, freedom & social change and many more.
